360 Play Choose TRACKS for their charity of the year

360 Play Stevenage chooses TRACKS autism as Charity of the Year for 2016

Following its recent search for a local charity to support in the Stevenage area, 360 Play family entertainment centre at Stevenage Leisure Park has announced that TRACKS autism will be its official charity for 2016.

360 Play is a popular destination for families with young children and as it continues to be increasingly involved in and to work with the city and the local community it has once again chosen a local children’s charity to support in various ways throughout the coming year as its ‘official’ charity.

TRACKS autism is an independent local charity and Early Years Centre, based in Stevenage, for children with autism and related conditions. It also provides respite for children’s families and carers during school holidays. TRACKS provides a calm environment for up to nine children per 3.5 hour session, currently running 5 sessions over 4 days, 48 weeks of the year.

The charity has a high ratio of dedicated and specially trained staff to help children develop in a number of ways, these aims being achieved in close partnership with parents and families in order to meet the individual needs of the child in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. TRACKS utilises a holistic and multi-sensory approach to learning through play and finds creative ways to encourage children to be interested in their environment and those around them.

On behalf of TRACKS, fund raiser Lisa Burgess said: “TRACKS Autism would like to say a BIG thank you to 360 Play Stevenage for choosing us as its Charity of the year. We are looking forward to using 360 Play for our fundraising events and to help us to raise vital funds for TRACKS.”

Commenting on the choice of this year’s charity, 360 Play’s group sales and marketing manager Billie-Jan Hills said: “TRACKS autism is a wonderful organisation for 360 Play to support as the official charity for our Stevenage centre in 2016. The organisation believes very much in the value and importance of learning through play which is in line with our own belief in the power and freedom of play, so it’s an excellent match.

“We’ll be supporting TRACKS in a number of ways and look forward to working with the team in providing some new fund raising opportunities which will benefit the organisation, be it charity events held by 360 Play, the use of our centre by TRACKS for fundraising events, raffle prizes or other activities.”
