Sensory circuits

Each session at TRACKS autism begins with a unique programme of sensory circuits.

Sensory circuits are physical activities that help to alert, organise and then relax the senses of the children so that they are ready to take part in group activities and one-to-one work.

Each sensory circuit session lasts approximately 15 minutes and takes place every day.

Since introducing sensory circuits at TRACKS autism we have observed a notable improvement in the children's responsiveness and ability to focus during activities. This has been especially noticeable in our group activity 'look', which is a highly motivating activity that the children take part in immediately after the sensory circuit session.
